In partnership with the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's Disease, we now offer their Pedaling for Parkinson's classes at our Short Pump location. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 AM. Classes are included in our club membership. Non-members may participate in the classes by enrolling into our 60-day Physician Referred Exercise Program (p.r.e.p.). A signed referral from you health care provider is needed to enroll. Costs/fees: Enrollment in the p.r.e.p. is $99 and covers two months.
p.r.e.p. also includes an initial assessment with our medical team and a guided exercise program that includes strength training and cardiovascular exercise. The program is catered to individual needs. Other group classes, such as balance class and aquatic classes, are also included with p.r.e.p. at no additional cost. p.r.e.p. also offered at acac Midlothian, but Pedaling for Parkinson's is at Short Pump only for the time being.

LiftPD provides free exercise classes to people with Parkinson's Disease in Richmond, VA. We have 3 difference class levels to meet you where you are and to give you the best instruction possible. Our classes focus on symptom-specific exercises and include all areas of fitness from cardio, strength, balance, agility, aerobics and more!
We currently have a 3-6 month waitlist for getting into our classes. Click here to join the waitlist.
Fees/Cost: Free to All participants. Donations are encouraged but not required.
Our waitlist time can vary depending on class capacity and staffing. It is on a first come, first serve basis and we try to pull from that list as often as we can. We try to keep our classes to 8-10 participants max in order to maintain safety of our participants.

We offer group exercise classes for people with any stage of Parkinson's disease - classes for the newly diagnosed as well as those living with PD for years. Everything we do in our classes (boxing at the heavy bags, strength training, balance, agility) is designed specifically with people with Parkinson's in mind -- we use research backed principles to provide high intensity (for you!) exercises that allow for the brain to communicate with body to slow the progression of the disease. We also have an incredible community of Parkinson's fighters who provide unmatched support for each other.

Up Ending Parkinson’s brings people with Parkinson’s together for movement, challenge, and connection. With the help of trained volunteers, climbers explore accessible rock climbing in a warm, encouraging environment where everyone moves at their own pace.
